From novel: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen by Paul Torday

Original Music by: Dario Marianelli

A fishing expert is tapped to attempt to make the sport of fly fishing a popular pursuit in the Yemen desert.

ABSTRACT
Alfred Jones, a sought-after fisheries expert operating out of Great Britain, is solicited by financial advisor Harriet Chetwoode-Talbot for advice on the viability of a project to bring salmon fishing to Yemen. The project, bankrolled by a deep-pocketed Arab sheikh, is dismissed as "fundamentally unfeasible" by Jones due to the Arab republic's inhospitable climate. When an accidental mosque bombing in Afghanistan prompts an initiative spearheaded by the British government to improve ties with the Islamic world, however, Jones finds himself reluctantly coming on board as part of a diplomatic project to make the impossible possible.
