In a future militaristic society where everyone is attractive, capable, and highly patriotic, humanity under control of a united world government battles against an existential threat in the form of an even more militaristic insect race. It doesn't go well for the humans, but it also doesn't go well for the bugs either. Meanwhile on the home front, children stomp on cockroaches. Anti-war piece masquerading as pro-war; many viewers may not realize this fact. Based on Heinlein's classic juvenile novel.
