ABSTRACT
Amelia, impoverished Australian woman some years removed from her beloved husband's untimely death, struggles to raise young son Samuel on account of his debilitating fear of a Boogeyman-like storybook monster known as "the Babadook". Amelia's investigation of the book the Babadook resides in brings her face-to-face with unthinkable terror as the all-too-real monster invades her life and psyche.
