ABSTRACT
Ex-Air Force officer-turned-master explorer Dirk Pitt looks to enjoy the greatest expedition of his lifetime with pal Al Girodino in tow, journeying to the Saharan desert to search for a mythical Civil War battleship known as the Ship of Death and its precious cargo. Unexpected danger awaits our men as they cross paths with attractive World Health Organization doctor Eva Rojas, working to help her evade the pursuit of a psychotic dictator while pressing on with their search for a vessel that might not even exist.
