Three magazine reporters set out on an assignment to interview a man who had placed a classifieds ad seeking a companion for time travel.

ABSTRACT
Jeff Schwensen, a writer for Seattle Magazine, notices a newspaper classifieds ad seeking "somebody to go back in time with me" and further affirming that "this is not a joke", with one caveat emptor: "Safety not guaranteed." Intrigued by the contents of the ad, he successfully convinces his boss to allow him to go out in search of its author with two of his colleagues, using the oddball excursion as a cover to attempt to reunite with an old lover who lives in the area along the way.
