From novel: Cogan's Trade by George V. Higgins

Producers: Dede Gardner; Anthony Katagas; Brad Pitt; Paula Mae Schwartz; Steve Schwartz

Johnny "Squirrel" Amato orchestrates the robbery mafia-run poker game by two amateurs. He expects the heist will be blamed on the man who runs the game, who robbed it in the past but somehow obtained forgiveness for the transgression. The criminal hierarchy hires an enforcer, played by Brad Pitt, to determine who is behind the robbery and liquidate those involved. Dialogue-driven morality tale, which some people will find too slow moving for their tastes.
