Population: 8551 (2000 census) Founding Date: 1895 (named), 1906 (renamed) County: Fresno County In 1895, the Southern Pacific station was named Collis, after Collis P. Huntington, a railroad employee. The area was renamed 1906 by developers W. G. Kerckhoff and Jacob Mansar, combining the first portions of their names.
