HONOR

The world's oldest chivalrous society, The Most Noble Order of the Garter was founded around 1348 by King Edward III as a society, fellowship and college of knights. Its members are styled Knights of the Garter, unless female in which case they are Ladies of the Garter. It has as motto, "Honi soit qui mal y pense" -- shame on him who thinks ill of it.
