ORGANIZATION

Founded 1947 out of the Children's Cancer Research Foundation, an organization founded by Dr. Sidney Farber. Name changed in 1974 to the Sidney Farber Cancer Institute, and in 1982 to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, in order to acknowledge the longtime support of the Charles A. Dana Foundation.
