After Randy Bachman left The Guess Who, he formed Brave Belt with his friend Chad Allen, also formerly from The Guess Who. The new band was not particularly successful, and soon after Turner joined Allen left, and Bachman renamed the band Bachman Turner Overdrive (with added brother/members Robbie and Tim Bachman.) This new band enjoyed more success, with AOR hits Takin' Care of Business and the stutterific You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Turner later participated in a short-lived band Union with Bachman, and the later BTO "reunion" band, re-formed in the late 1980s.
