See Gyrgy Litvn, A Twentieth-Century Prophet: Oscr Jszi (2006), page 4: "Like many other assimilated and converted Jewish contemporaries, he grew up and for a long time acted as if he had been born a Calvinist Hungarian. For him Protestantism signified a disposition more than a religion, for he never fully identified with it, despite preserving his belief in God -- a period in his freethinking youth aside -- right up till his death."
