Had a severe gambling problem, sometimes losing as much as ยฃ10,000 in a single sitting. Bingham brutally murdered the family's nanny, Sandra Eleanor Rivett, with a lead pipe in 1974 and promptly disappeared, his own fate a possible suicide though there are rumors of a life abroad.
