Lead singer of the Box Tops soulful hits "The Letter" and "Cry Like A Baby". Co-wrote Big Star's song "Out in the Street", which was performed by Cheap Trick (with altered lyrics) as the theme song for the sit-com That '70s Show. But by far Chilton's greatest work was his bizarre, sloppy, solo debut, Like Flies On Sherbert (1979).
