Executive summary: The "Mac Daddy" half of Kris Kross Member of Kris Kross, a juvenile rap duo discovered by Jermaine Dupri and signed to Ruffhouse Records in 1992. Kris Kross often wore their clothes backwards and inspired others to imitate, but why anyone would want to do this has never been satisfactorily explained. Their single Jump was #1 on the Billboard 100 for eight weeks. Kris Kross last performed together at record label So So Def's 20th Anniversary Concert on 23 February 2013. Kelly died from a drug overdose, specifically a speedball, after he was found unresponsive at his Atlanta home.
