Supported 1998-99 Clinton impeachment, 2001 USA PATRIOT Act, 2002 Iraq War resolution, 2004 restriction of bankruptcy rules. Defeated in 2006 election and succeeded in Congress by Paul Hodes. His father, Perkins Bass, was a US Congressman from 1955-63, and his grandfather, Robert Perkins Bass (1873-1960), was Governor of New Hampshire from 1911-13.
