Claims he has made include that ethanol is more efficient than petroleum (false by a wide margin), that ethanol is cheaper than gasoline (consistently false for the last quarter century), and that Brazil has replaced 40% of their petroleum use with ethanol (his inflated by a factor of four, it is closer to 10%).
