Formerly the Rochester Royals (1945-57) and Cincinnati Royals (1957-72). Relocated to Kansas City in 1972, with some home games played in Omaha; the team was known as the Kansas City-Omaha Kings from 1972-75, then the Kansas City Kings after Omaha was dropped from the schedule in 1975, and until relocation in 1985 as the Sacramento Kings.
