Founded 1919 as the "company team" of the A. E. Staley Manufacturing Company, a corn processing firm located in Decatur, IL. Joined the NFL in 1920, and relocated to Chicago in 1921, becoming the Chicago Staleys. Renamed the Chicago Bears in 1922.
