TELEVISION PROGRAM

Thirty minute musical variety program, broadcast 1949-54. Premiered on 16 April 1949 from Chicago, on NBC. This lasted until 24 June 1951, when production was moved to New York City, since Garroway was also hosting Today. Highly innovative television at the time, At Large featured musical numbers and skits, with the host wandering about the audience and sometimes interacting with performers.
