An ex-NASA pilot is asked to helm a revolutionary mission to find a new planet for residents of a dying Earth.

ABSTRACT
A near-future Earth stands as an agrarian dystopia on the brink of total collapse, with a massive Dust Bowl threatening to decimate what remains of its scant natural resources. NASA pilot-turned-farmer Cooper and precocious daughter Murphy are led to a clandestine military installation by way of a "gravitational" signal of unknown origin; upon arrival, Cooper is asked to return to his old line of work, heading into space with a cast of scientists and self-aware robots on a time-bending journey to save humanity from extinction.
