ABSTRACT
Tony Wilson, a television presenter in mid-1970s Manchester, England, is inspired to start Factory Records after attending a Sex Pistols concert. Wilson's signing of Joy Division followed by the Happy Mondays starts a creative fire that would ultimately grow into a worldwide explosion for Manchester's punk rock and new wave scene, a story dramatized for the big screen in 24 Hour Party People.
