Boston car rental store employee John Bennett contends with the challenges that accompany life with a sentient teddy bear who has remained at his side since a Christmas wish made as a young boy.

ABSTRACT
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane's directorial debut arrives in the form of Ted, the whimsical story for grown-ups about an anthropomorphic teddy bear, named Ted, who has gone through life with Boston-area car rental store employee John Bennett ever since a childhood wish made at Christmas time in 1985 resulted in his coming to life. Though John still very much loves Ted and is more than willing to continue meandering through existence with him, adult happenings and all, his girlfriend of four years' desire to take the next step in their relationship threatens to shatter the fabric of that very bond.
