ABSTRACT
Walter Mitty, a day-dreaming Life Magazine staffer who escapes his oft-monotonous New York City existence by living in fantasy worlds of his own creation, is informed one day that his employment as well as that of co-worker Cheryl Melhoff's has been placed in imminent danger by the impending closure of their employer's publication. To that end, the well-intentioned Walter takes action by embarking on a wild journey around the globe to recover a missing picture needed for Life's last issue, encountering a bevy of ridiculous challenges and obstacles on his way to saving the day.
