A climatologist must head out on a journey to save his son from falling victim to a new Ice Age enveloping the Earth.

ABSTRACT
Paleoclimatologist Jack Hall bears witness to the terrifying fragmentation of the Larsen Ice Shelf while drilling for ice-core samples in Antarctica, drawing his attention to urgent problems posed by global warming that lead to an unsuccessful attempt to convince diplomats of his findings at a subsequent United Nations climate conference. Jack is ultimately proven right in a big way when a series of bizarre weather-related disasters begin to occur all around the world, however, soon sending the scientist on a daredevil mission to rescue son Sam, trapped with friends in the middle of one such apocalyptic event in New York City.
