ABSTRACT
Imogene, a New York playwright struggling with sudden failure in both her career and love life, is placed into the custody of her eccentric mother in suburban New Jersey after a staged suicide attempt with a view to winning her old boyfriend back goes awry. Imogene's objective, it seems, is now to somehow manage to put herself back together whilst learning to cope with her bizarre family and Jersey roots.
