Eastern European criminals Emil Slovak and Oleg Razgul, masterful manipulators traveling to New York City to profit off of a recent heist, take advantage of the United States' tabloid culture by filming their various activities in America with a view to selling the end result to gossip show Top Story. Hot on their trail are seasoned homicide detective Eddie Flemming and green fire marshal Jordy Warsaw, two men investigating the criminal pair's murder of a former partner while attempting to avoid becoming victims of their quest for fifteen minutes of fame.
