Director: Martin McDonagh

Writer: Martin McDonagh

Keywords: Crime/Comedy

A struggling screenwriter's life becomes tangled up with a cadre of Los Angeles criminals after two of his friends unknowingly kidnap an important thug's dog.

ABSTRACT
Struggling Los Angeles-area screenwriter Marty Faranan, a man who dreams of finishing his magnum opus, Seven Psychopaths, counts an unemployed actor who makes money off of kidnapping dogs and returning them later for their cash rewards named Billy Bickle as his best friend. This friendship proves to be highly problematic when Billy and partner-in-crime Hans Kieslowski unwittingly kidnap a Shih Tzu belonging to one of the city's most notorious gangsters, dragging Billy along into the criminal underworld along with them as they quickly become some of the City of Angels' most-wanted men.
