ABSTRACT
Mary Klein is in the process of celebrating the purchase of a gorgeous new home with husband and prestigious Washington Post journalist John when, behind the wheel of their car, she crashes after nearly running over a mysterious winged figure. Mary dies from her injuries a short while later; sketches made of the winged figure in question serve as the impetus for John's investigation into the ordeal, leading him to the tiny West Virginian town of Point Pleasant, where every question about the supposed "Mothman" seems to carry with it a terrifying answer.
