ABSTRACT
Adapted from the first three entries -- The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window -- in Lemony Snicket's best-selling thirteen-book "tridecalogy" of A Series of Unfortunate Events novels, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events focuses on Violet Baudelaire, precocious brother Klaus, and fierce baby sister Sunny, three children orphaned when a fire engulfs their mansion and kills their parents. Sent to live with conniving uncle Count Olaf, the trio must work against ridiculous odds to protect the integrity of a vast fortune promised to them when Sunny reaches the age of majority, even as their bizarre relative appears bent on taking it all for himself.
