ABSTRACT
Tom Ludlow, a hard-living, ruthless undercover vice detective with the Los Angeles Police Department permanently damaged by his wife's passing, finds his job situation endangered when former partner Terrence Washington spills the beans on his outside-the-law tendencies to Captain James Biggs and places him at the mercy of an internal investigation. A planned confrontation with Washington at a convenience store turns tragic when he is killed by two vicious gangsters; present at the crime scene, Ludlow must work to clear his name despite his reputation and relationship with Washington preceding him.
