An astronaut tasked with harvesting helium from the Moon suffers a complicated personal crisis towards the end of his three-year mission.

An accident involving a rover two weeks before Sean's mission is set to end leads to an altercation with his only companion, artificial intelligence system GERTY, kicking off a personal crisis that sees him working alongside an older clone of himself to expose Lunar Industries' dirty deeds.
