A young reporter in an alternate version of late-1930s New York City works to investigate a terrifying mystery alongside her mercenary pilot ex-boyfriend.

ABSTRACT
New York City thrives in a Depression-less, zeppelin-heavy alternate version of 1939, with the Hindenburg III mooring atop the Empire State Building to great fanfare. All is not well for long, however, as a number of famous scientists around the world begin to disappear just as New York suffers an attack at the hands of mysterious giant robots. Plucky reporter Polly Perkins joins up with her ex-boyfriend, mercenary pilot Sky Captain, to uncover the unfolding mystery and ultimately perform battle against an evil genius bent on destroying their society and replacing it with a "World of Tomorrow" built in his image.
