ABSTRACT
Frances, an ostensibly happily married San Francisco writer, falls into a creative and emotional rut following a sudden split with her husband. Compelled to take a bus tour of Tuscany, Italy following her friends' urging to move on, Frances decides to purchase a villa in dire need of repair on an impulse, enlisting the services of a motley crew of repairmen to fix the domicile as she seeks love amidst her new surroundings.
