ABSTRACT
Hannibal Lecter, a psychologist based out of Baltimore, Maryland, is institutionalized following an altercation with FBI agent Will Graham in which he is implicated as the culprit in a string of cannibalistic murders. Years later, a new serial killer nicknamed "The Tooth Fairy" materializes, bringing Graham back in touch with Lecter as he seeks the now-infamous cannibal's expertise in piecing together the psychosis of a man wanted for killing and dismembering his victims during full moons. Unbeknownst to Graham, however, Lecter maintains a secret correspondence with the "Tooth Fairy" -- a man by the name of Francis Dolarhyde -- as Graham pursues his case, setting the stage for a frightening showdown as the agent draws closer to his target.
