Remember the Titans (23-Sep-2000)

Director: Boaz Yakin

Writer: Gregory Allen Howard

Keywords: Drama, Football

An African-American football coach guides a high-school team through their first tumultuous season as a racially integrated squad.

ABSTRACT
The Southern state of Virginia embraces racial integration once and for all under federal orders in 1971, bringing a "white" and "black" school together to form the mixed-race T. C. Williams High School in Alexandria. Initially fractured over the politically-contentious events playing out in their proudly Confederate town, Alexandria's residents ultimately come together over the course of one magical high-school football season, a year in which their team is fronted by controversial African-American coach Herman Boone.
