Three Navy pilots participating in a top-secret stealth fighter program go to war against a powerful and dangerous artificial intelligence system.

ABSTRACT
Ben Gannon, Henry Purcell, and Kara Wade are top-flight Navy pilots participating in a secret project concerning the latest and greatest stealth fighters. Joining the crew in their endeavor is "Edi" ("extreme deep invader"), a "thinking" flight controller related to the military's research into unmanned drones. Though Edi is a rousing success in its first run, an unfortunate lightning strike causes it to become self-aware, forcing our trio of pilots to work to stop it from launching an attack against the Chinese capable of igniting World War III.
