REVIEWS

Review by Jerry Marcolina (posted on 15-Jun-2009)

This film was one of Steven King's finer works of art. It's not your typical teenage slasher movie that goes on and on to be silly. It has depth, and suspense along with the creative cast ensemble of Kathy Bates and lead actor James Caan. It keeps you @ the edge of your seat and makes you wonder what is going to erupt next. This particular film actually puts Kathy Bates at the pinnacle of her career. Most people didn't realize that Ms. Bates had a list of credits that goes back to the 70's. However, in this role as "Annie Wilkes", she was a "Hit", and from then on, she has been able to parlay her acting abilities into other roles. Another fine movie that you simply will not forget is "Dolores Claiborne". Watch that film as well, and you will see that once again Kathy Bates shines!
