This Island Earth is a 1950's sci-fi classic -- the plot is realistic and interesting, the color and special-effects are excellent considering it's 50 years-old now, and the acting is first-rate. I saw this movie the first time many years ago and have watched it many times since then and always enjoy it -- it's my favorite sci-fi film.
