Watchmen (23-Feb-2009)

Director: Zack Snyder

Writers: David Hayter; Alex Tse

Keywords: Action/Adventure, Superheroes, Comic Book

Film adaptation of the DC Comics franchise of the same name follows a group of retired superheroes as they investigate a diabolical conspiracy against their continued existence.

ABSTRACT
Set in an alternate version of 1985 in which the existence of superheroes granted Richard M. Nixon re-election into perpetuity and the United States an even greater advantage over their Cold War-era adversaries than in real life, Watchmen follows a cast of heroes -- outlawed ever since growing pacifist tendencies in their home country led their profession to fall into disrepute -- as they seek to investigate the murder of government-sanctioned agent Eddie "The Comedian" Baker, uncovering a terrifying plot that could prove deadly to their kind as a result.
