A battalion of 400 American soldiers is dropped in the midst of 4000 North Vietnamese. The story is taken from the biography of Lt. Col. Hal Morris. Though there is some Hollywood embellishment, surprisingly realistic telling. Notably the enemy here are portrayed as people, unusual among Vietnam War films.
