Scott Foley bought a one-way ticket to L.A. immediately after graduating from high school, intending to become an actor. In California, he took acting lessons, auditioned endlessly. His first paying work was a 1995 episode of Sweet Valley High. At 25, he landed a recurring role as the high school quarterback on Dawson's Creek, and came between James Van Der Beek and Michelle Williams. Following that series, Foley was cast as Ben, the object of Keri Russell's obsession in Felicity, but at the last minute his role was switched, and instead he played Noel, the dorm's R.A. Foley met and married Jennifer Garner when she guested on Felicity; their marriage ended a few years later, when she became a star with Alias. Since Felicity, Foley has appeared in a recurring role on Scrubs.
