Lucas BlackAKA Lucas York Black

Born: 29-Nov-1982
Birthplace: Decatur, AL

Gender: Male
Race or Ethnicity: White
Occupation: Actor

Nationality: United States
Executive summary: The kid from Sling Blade

Lucas Black's first film was a Kevin Costner drama, The War, in 1994. Eleven year old Black had few lines, but he was cute and that's all the part required. With his mother as his agent, young Black was soon on billboards modeling Calvin Klein jeans. He was defended by Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade, and garnered rave reviews. In the supernatural soap opera American Gothic, young Black was orphaned, visited by his murdered sister's ghost, and learned that the town's sheriff (possibly not of this world) was his father. With his adolescent cuteness ended, Black emerged full-grown in films like Cold Mountain and Friday Night Lights.
