I am a 50 female working in the field of social services, it isn't my norm to watch a movie or a program with constant killing and violence. I saw the preview of this movie the day before it aired and was courious to see how well these young women could act and bring value to the entertainment industry. well, I was blown away. they were fabulous, they were smart, they were fashionable and most of all they were all talented. the social dynamics were very interesting and I would like to read this story if there were a book available. now, I am not a fan of Bobby Brown but he played his role well. (much practice) kudos and much success to the film. it's been out since '03 but like I said I am not a moviegoer... I like to read books.

Review by Michael McNair (posted on 19-Jun-2007)

This movie was possibly a waste of someones money, but not mine. If this movie were to have gone to theaters across America it would have been laughed off the billboards. The actors and actresses were not genuine in there effort to portray there characters. The speech dialect was not that great, nor the wardrobe the best selection. Some of the characters looked as if Goochie followed them to the set and said, "Strike a Pose." I think that Hollywood is either void of good actors or agents seeking the right part or script. This was possibly one of the worst portrayals of the Old West that I've seen in a long time. Singers making a transition to an area where there already is not enough good talent. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it was strickly a B- movie. It must have been a low budget movie as well. My thoughts there is that at the box office it would not have made its money back. I rate this movie 1 1/2 Stars. However, I will research to see if the story line was fiction or non-fiction. That may or may not help my opinion. This movie was a rough ride.
