ABSTRACT
Sequel to Spider-Man (2002). Peter Parker suffers through a dark downturn in his life following the events of 2002's Spider-Man, driven to a breaking point as Mary Jane Watson promises herself to another man and the Daily Bugle launches constant hit pieces on the integrity of his alter-ego. Tired of his double life, Peter gives heavy consideration to retirement, only to find himself plunging right back into his old pursuits when a genetic experiment gone awry transforms eccentric scientist Otto Octavius into the nefarious Doctor Octopus.
