Keywords: Sci-Fi

A man charged with editing the recorded memories of recently-deceased individuals in a microchip-heavy future faces the toughest challenge of his life.

ABSTRACT
In a future world where memory-recording microchips implanted in humans' brains are removed after death and edited into a "highlight reel" of sorts for loved ones, Alan Hakman reigns supreme, enjoying a reputation as the Eye Tech Corporation's best "cutter" with a memory-editing expertise unmatched in his field. Alan's job is not without its share of strife, as he struggles with the moral implications of his work and responsibilities on a near-constant basis; further complications arise when "cutter"-turned-anti-cutting activist Fletcher disrupts Alan's latest assignment and draws his attention to the rule-breaking microchip implanted in his own brain.
