A thick fog bearing the ghosts of angry lepers killed in a shipwreck descends on the coastal town of Antonio Bay in Northern California. The discovery of a century-old diary reveals the sins of the town's forefathers and the reason for the ghostly anger. Low budget John Carpenter is atmospheric and frightening, supported by a good cast. Remade as The Fog (2005).
