Inglourious Basterds (20-May-2009)

Director: Quentin Tarantino

Writer: Quentin Tarantino

Keywords: Action/Adventure, WWII, Assassination, French Resistance, Holocaust, Propaganda, Arson, Nazis, Sniper, Explosions

Quentin Tarantino re-fights World War II, with top-notch dialogue (in English, French, and German), delightfully vile Nazis, comic bookesque action sequences, war crimes committed just for fun, an over-the-top Brad Pitt, and a storyline that's much, much more enjoyable than the historical facts (which are disregarded entirely).

Retelling of The Inglorious Bastards (1978), with little resemblance.
