ABSTRACT
Top-flight New York City psychiatrist Sam Foster is presented with Henry Letham, a fatalistic art student seeking to emulate his idol by shooting himself dead on his twenty-first birthday. Disturbed, Sam delves into Henry's past in an attempt to save his patient, discovering that he is detached from reality; failing to take him into custody, Sam is forced to track him down, requesting the assistance of his embattled girlfriend in remaining sane along his terrifying journey.
