Film adaptation of a non-fiction book follows three men as they participate in a bird-watching competition.

Adapted from non-fiction title The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature, and Fowl Obsession, The Big Year follows computer programmer Brad Harris, hotshot CEO Stu Preissler, and roofing contractor Kenny Bostick as they embark on a heated "birding" competition known as the Big Year to find who can identify the greatest number of unique species of birds in North America in a given year.
