Occupation: Comic, Actor

Kevin Pollak is a familiar face from supporting roles in movies and on television over the past twenty-plus years. You may remember him from Willow, A Few Good Men, The Usual Suspects, or Hostage. Or you may not remember Pollak at all; that's the lot in life for a character actor.

He was one of millions of kids who memorized Bill Cosby's 1960s comedy albums, and in his pre-adolescent performances young Pollak simply lip-synched Cosby's routines. He started doing professional stand-up when he was 18 years old, and became known for his spot-on impressions of Alan Arkin, Robert De Niro, Peter Falk, Walter Matthau, Christopher Walken, and William Shatner. Pollak still tours mid-sized cities, doing comedy at clubs like The Funny Bone and The Improv chain.

At 31, Pollak was invited to do a few minutes of his stand-up act on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show, but turned down the opportunity when he learned that he wouldn't get to sit down with Carson and Ed McMahon afterwards. A year later he was invited again, this time offered both comedy and face-time with Carson. Pollak is proud to say he did the show four times, always making Carson laugh.
